Mérida and Hacienda Ochil

After arriving in Cancún, I immediately got on a bus and headed across the Yucatán to Mérida, a colonial capital and hub of the area.

(My first meal back in Mexico - a gordita stuffed with shredded pork on the bottom and one stuffed with cooked cactus on the top.)

(Salbutes - an awesome mix of fried tortilla, shredded chicken, avocado and so much more...)

(One of the many colonial buildings in central Mérida)

(Hacienda Ochil - an old plantation now converted to a sort of museum.)

(Decaying buildings...)

(Water lilies)

(Even a little train track for tours, though I was too early to use the train.)
